SolidWorks DVD Policy

As the technology that makes SolidWorks the most powerful 3D mechanical design tool evolves, so must the systems on which SolidWorks is used. The next generation in that process coming soon. Beginning with SP 4.1, SolidWorks is now shipping DVDs in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions, as well as 32 bit CDs. By the release of SW2008, DVD will be the only product offering shipped from SolidWorks.

Please consider the following as we transition to the DVD-only shipments:

Starting with SW2007 SP 2.0, only DVDs will be shipped on new orders. These DVDs will continue to be in both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Through the remainder of the SW2007 release, CDs will be available by request only, and for a nominal fee. Once again, starting with the release of SW2008, only DVDs will be available.

It is important that you update your hardware to meet these new system requirements if your current system does not currently support DVD.
